Privacy notice

Opportunity Scanner collects only the information needed to run requested scans, provide requested guides, operate the beta, and understand which product and content experiences are useful.

Information we collect

For scans, this may include a company website, work email, and optional company context. For guides, this may include name, work email, optional company and website, the requested guide, source and campaign fields, and whether optional marketing consent was selected.

How we use it

We use this information to provide the requested scan or guide, maintain product reliability, respond to requests, evaluate interest, and improve Opportunity Scanner. Downloading a guide does not automatically enroll someone in marketing. Marketing updates require the optional checkbox.

Optional product analytics

Vercel Analytics provides aggregate, cookieless traffic information. With your permission, we may also use PostHog and HubSpot to understand product actions and customer journeys, such as starting a scan, opening checkout, using a report action, or sending an opportunity to a workflow. PostHog session replay and autocapture are disabled. Our custom analytics events do not include report contents, form answers, email addresses, company websites, or free-text responses.

First-touch campaign attribution

If you allow analytics, Opportunity Scanner uses a same-site first-party cookie for up to 90 days to remember how a visitor first reached the site. It contains a random anonymous identifier, the landing-page path, referring hostname, timestamp, and standard UTM campaign fields. It does not store an email address, company website, payment identifier, authentication token, full landing-page query, or full referring URL. We use this information to understand which campaigns lead to requested scans and purchased reports.

Known customers and company activity

After someone provides a real email address or signs in, and has allowed analytics, we may associate subsequent website or product activity with that contact and their work email domain in HubSpot or with an internal account identifier in PostHog. This helps us support customers and understand account-level product use. We do not claim that an anonymous company visit identifies a specific person, and the company being scanned is kept separate from the customer account using the product.

Checkout and payments

Paid purchases use Stripe-hosted checkout. Payment card details are submitted directly to and handled by Stripe rather than Opportunity Scanner. We may receive and store related transaction details, such as payment status, the product purchased, and Stripe reference identifiers, so we can provide access and support the purchase. Stripe processes checkout and payment information to operate its payment services.

Storage and sharing

Production records are intended to be stored in the configured Supabase project and processed by providers needed to operate the product, including the analytics and payment providers described above when those features are enabled. We do not sell submitted personal information.

Retention and choices

Analytics permission is optional and can be changed at any time using Cookie choices in the site footer. We honor Global Privacy Control as a necessary-only preference. Beta records are retained while needed for product operation, research follow-up, security, and business records. You may request access, correction, deletion, or withdrawal from optional marketing by contacting us. Some records may be retained when required for security, legal, or operational reasons.
